American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a 25-bed Med/Surg unit, requiring a MI RN license and proficiency in daily patient assessments and monitoring telemetry.

Details

• Work on a Med/Surg unit in a hospital setting with 25 licensed beds
• Patient population consists of general medical-surgical cases
• Nurse to patient ratio typically ranges from 1:3 to 1:4
• Use Centriq EHR for charting and Pyxis medication dispensing system
• 12-hour night shifts with a six-week rotating pattern that includes some weekends
• Staffing may require working alone if census is low and the second nurse is on call
• No floating to other units required

Requirements

• Active MI RN license required
• Minimum of two years of recent Med/Surg nursing experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required

Additional Information

• Complete daily patient assessments, administer medications, monitor IV drips and telemetry, process admissions and discharges, participate in interdisciplinary rounding, and assist with patient transfers
• Scrubs are required with no specific color mandate
