American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a day-shift Pediatrics Gastroenterology clinic position requiring a NC or compact RN license and recent acute care pediatric experience.

Details

• Outpatient Pediatric GI clinic setting
• Population primarily newborn to age 18, up to college-aged young adults
• Common cases include GI and liver conditions, feeding tube management, pre/post-transplant care, and endocrine disorders
• Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM schedule
• No weekends, holidays, on-call, or floating requirements
• Patient census up to 40 per day across 14 exam rooms within two GI suites
• Utilizes Epic EMR and Omnicell; Epic experience highly preferred

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years acute care pediatric experience required
• Ambulatory clinic experience strongly preferred
• Experience with Rapid Strep, Flu/COVID testing, port access, CVL draws, and pediatric general assessment skills preferred
• EPIC EMR experience highly preferred
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the home unit
• First-time travelers welcome

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include patient rooming, assessments, point-of-care testing, education, assisting with vaccines and injectable medications, and medication refills using standing orders
• No triage duties required, but may assist peers with form completion
• Comprehensive support team including clinical and clerical leadership, MA’s, lab, radiology, dietician, and social worker on-site
• On-site orientation is tailored to skillset and may last up to two weeks
• Department provides free parking
• Required navy blue scrubs for all shifts
• Clinic is closed on major holidays
• RTO requests must be manager approved
