American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Acute Dialysis position requiring an OK or compact RN license and at least one year of nephrology or acute care experience.

Details

• Work in a hospital-based Medicine/Nephrology unit
• Patient population includes individuals with diverse and complex nephrology and general medical conditions
• Day shifts consisting of three 12-hour shifts per week, with preference for 48-hour weeks but 36-hour weeks accepted
• Assignment length is 13 weeks
• No on-call requirements are specified

Requirements

• Active RN license issued by Oklahoma or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
• Minimum of one year of RN experience in nephrology or acute care settings
• Associate’s Degree in Nursing required from an accredited program
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is required
• Ability to work effectively with patients from diverse backgrounds and communicate clearly

Additional Information

• Responsible for providing nursing care to an assigned group of patients and coordinating care plans
• Tasks include documenting interventions, assisting with examinations, performing minor procedures, monitoring physiological data, administering medications, and managing infusions
• Expected to collaborate with physicians and support staff to ensure quality patient care
• Must comply with a 50-mile radius rule; local candidates within 50 miles are not eligible
• Professionalism and good working relationships with coworkers are essential
• Must be able to respond to cultural and language needs of patients and families
