Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Nephrology/Medicine unit night shift position requiring an active OK or compact RN license and at least one year of acute care experience.

Details

• Work in a hospital-based Medicine/Nephrology unit
• Night shift schedule with 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week
• Care provided to a variety of patients, ranging from simple to complex health conditions
• No local candidates accepted within 50 miles of the facility

Requirements

• Active RN license issued by Oklahoma or current compact multistate RN license
• At least one year of acute care RN experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
• Ability to respond to diverse patient and family needs and communicate effectively
• Some computer proficiency required

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include patient assessment, medication administration, monitoring infusions, documenting responses, and assisting with minor procedures
• Expected to develop and share care plans and discharge instructions with patients and families
• Delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate
• Holiday and weekend shifts may be required based on unit needs
• Candidates with a BSN are preferred but not required
