American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Surgical/Transplant Med/Surg position, requiring an active OK or compact RN license and one year of recent nursing experience.

Details

• Work in the Surgical/Transplant Medical-Surgical unit of a hospital
• Care for patients with a wide range of both simple and complex surgical or transplant-related health issues
• Night shift schedule with 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week

Requirements

• Active OK RN license or a multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
• Minimum of one year of recent nursing experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing from a board approved program preferred
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include administering medications, initiating and monitoring IVs and blood products, and assisting with minor diagnostic procedures
• Provide patient care, coordinate care plans, and document patient responses to interventions
• Interact with patients and families to share care plans and discharge instructions
• Delegation of tasks to support staff is expected
• Holiday coverage and flexibility may be required
• There are restrictions for returning employees regarding contract extensions and separation periods
