Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Med/Surg Float Pool position requiring an OK or compact license and at least one year of acute care experience.

Details

• Works in the Float Pool covering multiple medicine specialties within a hospital setting
• Provides care to a diverse patient population with a range of simple to complex medical conditions
• Night shift position with 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week
• No local candidates permitted within a 50-mile radius

Requirements

• Active RN license in Oklahoma or a valid compact multistate RN license (eNLC)
• Minimum one year of recent acute care nursing experience
• Associate degree in Nursing from an accredited program required
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
• Good verbal and written communication skills are essential
• Computer skills and the ability to document electronically are required

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include administering medications, monitoring patient status, assisting with diagnostic procedures, and coordinating care
• Expected to delegate tasks appropriately to support staff
• Must be able to respond effectively to the cultural and language needs of patients and their families
• A six-month separation is required before reapplying for another contract after a total of 26 weeks of employment
• Orientation and training will be provided as needed
