American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN with a current IL license and at least 2 years of recent acute care experience.

Details

• Position is based in a hospital Med/Surg unit at a Level 1 Trauma Center
• Schedule is 3x12 hour day shifts, 7:00am-7:30pm, with every other weekend required
• No block scheduling or special scheduling requests allowed
• Mandatory floating to any Cook facility within a 50-mile radius, including outside primary competency, with team-based support when needed
• Cerner EMR is used; prior experience is preferred
• Navy blue scrubs are required and not provided

Requirements

• Active IL RN license in hand required (no pending licenses accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience in a Med/Surg setting
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• ACLS certification preferred
• Must live within 75 miles of the facility
• Proof of COVID vaccination required

Additional Information

• May be floated to different units within scope and occasionally outside home unit using a team-based care model
• Weekend shifts are scheduled for two weekends per month
• Time off requests are limited to a maximum of 5 days, with no more than 2 consecutive days; no weekend or holiday RTO allowed, and no RTO before or after a holiday
• Travelers may be notified up to two hours before shift of floating assignment
• Lab work compliance required within 72 hours of offer acceptance
