American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Home Health position requiring infusion skills, OASIS experience, and a FL or compact license.

Details

• Provide skilled nursing care to adult patients in a home health setting
• Patient population includes those with general medical diagnoses, high-risk conditions (HF, COPD, MI, Pneumonia, Stroke), and post-op care needs
• Typical caseload is 6 to 8 home visits per day
• Duties include cardiopulmonary assessments, wound care, IV therapy, compression and wound vac dressings, Pleurx/Asept drain care, catheter care, staple/suture removal, glucometer and pro-time machine use, injections, lab draws, venipuncture, and PICC/midline care
• Work schedule may vary: Mon-Fri 8a-5p, Mon-Fri 9a-6p, Thurs-Mon or Fri-Tues, including alternating weekend shifts
• Self-scheduling based on office needs
• Uses BayCare Forms, BayCare Scheduling, and Ace Timesheet documentation systems
• Laptop, MiFi, and portable printer provided for field documentation

Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license required
• Minimum 1 year of skilled home health nursing experience
• OASIS training and home health documentation experience required
• Infusion, IV skills, and wound care experience required
• BCLS certification required
• Valid driver’s license and reliable car required for home visits
• Must be COVID vaccinated or provide exemption documentation
• Must have flu vaccination or submit declination; mask required if declined

Additional Information

• Daily responsibilities include managing acute and complex medical needs in patient homes
• Skilled home visits include Medicare, Medicare Advantage, and commercial insurance patients
• Dress code is any solid color scrub
• Alternating weekends required as part of the schedule
• Candidate must be comfortable with independent self-scheduling and time management
• Portable technology provided to assist with documentation and care delivery
