American Traveler is seeking an experienced CVOR RN with NJ or compact license, 3+ years of relevant experience, and scrub experience with open heart and TAVR cases.

Details

• Work in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) of a hospital
• Patient population includes adults undergoing open heart procedures, CABG, and various valve surgeries
• Night shift; three 12-hour shifts per week (18:00-06:30)
• On-call required for a total of 32 hours per month
• RNs may float to the Main OR if there are no CVOR cases
• Scrub experience for open CVOR cases and TAVR is required
• Experience with devices such as Impella, HeartMate, ECMO, laser lead extraction, and TAVR
• Epic EMR is used for charting; prior experience preferred
• Hospital-provided scrubs

Requirements

• Active NJ or Compact RN license required
• Minimum 3 years of recent CVOR nursing experience required
• BLS certification required; CNOR certification preferred
• Scrub experience with open CVOR cases and TAVR required
• Experience with cardiac devices including Impella, HeartMate, ECMO, laser lead extractions, and TAVR
• Previous RWJBH employees must be separated from the system for at least 1 year before consideration

Additional Information

• Duties include circulating and scrubbing for adult open heart and complex CVOR procedures
• First time travelers will be considered, though experience is highly preferred
• Locals are accepted at the same rate
• Background check and license must be clear of active/open issues
• No block scheduling available
• Hospital requires scrubs to be worn as provided
