American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery (OB) position in a rural Arizona hospital, requiring an active AZ or compact RN license and flexibility with shifts.

Details

• Work in a hospital-based obstetrics unit providing care during antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, nursery, and Labor and Delivery periods
• Serve a diverse patient population including members of Native American and other cultural communities
• Variable schedule with days, evenings, nights, and weekends required
• Occasional floating within department may be required
• Onsite shared contractor housing may be available, but is limited

Requirements

• Active and unrestricted RN license issued by Arizona or any compact state
• Minimum of 2 years recent experience in OB nursing across antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, nursery and Labor & Delivery settings
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NRP (American Heart Association), AWHONN Intermediate EFM within 6 months, AWHONN Advanced EFM within 6 months, NIHSS within 6 months, STABLE within 1 year, ALSO within 1 year
• Must complete fingerprint-based background check prior to start
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccine requirements; exemptions may be granted with proper declination documentation

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive, family-centered nursing care for mothers and newborns
• Assist physicians and midwives during OB exams and procedures
• Work autonomously following physician orders and established standards of care
• Participate in a multi-disciplinary team serving a large rural, culturally rich geographic area
• Must submit a housing application at least 2 weeks prior to start if requesting hospital housing
• No pets or family members allowed in hospital-provided housing per policy
• Orientation occurs every 2 weeks
