Description

American Traveler is seeking a skilled RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring PCU or cardiac telemetry experience and ability to float to multiple hospitals.

Details

• Work in a Med/Surg Tele overflow unit within a short-term acute care hospital
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19:00-07:30)
• Care for both medical-surgical and cardiac telemetry patients, including stroke cases
• Float required to three local hospitals within a 20-mile radius
• Teaching hospital environment
• Uses Epic EMR system

Requirements

• Active FL or Compact RN license required; pending license accepted for consideration
• Minimum 18 months of acute tele or PCU/cardiac bedside experience, with 2 years preferred
• Must have current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications at the time of consideration
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required prior to start
• Proficient with vasoactive drips and stroke patient care
• Must be nicotine-free and pass a 10-panel plus nicotine (cotinine) drug screen

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include managing complex med/tele and cardiac patients, including those requiring vasoactive drips
• Time-sensitive online learning modules must be completed promptly upon assignment confirmation
• White scrubs required as dress code
