American Traveler is seeking an experienced Chemo-Certified Oncology RN with OCN and ambulatory experience for a day shift outpatient oncology clinic.

Details

• Outpatient oncology clinic setting focusing on medical oncology and palliative care
• Serves adult patients with solid tumor diagnoses
• Shift options include 4x10 hour or 5x8 hour day shifts, typically 8:30 to 19:00
• No weekend or holiday shifts required
• May float between clinics as needed
• Utilizes Epic Beacon for electronic medical records

Requirements

• Active WA or Compact RN license required
• BLS certification required
• OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse) certification required unless passing a screening
• Minimum 2 years of oncology nursing experience
• Ambulatory/outpatient experience required
• Experience with telephone triage, pharmacy coordination, distress screening, and reviewing treatment plans
• Epic EMR experience required
• Chemo certification required
• Will not accept first-time travelers
• Port access experience preferred

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include chemotherapy administration, patient assessment, distress screening, and treatment plan review
• Collaborates with an interdisciplinary team in an outpatient environment
• No call requirements for this position
• All travelers must be willing to float between facilities within the state as needed
• Returning former staff must wait at least 3 months prior to returning as a traveler and cannot be within 50 miles of the facility
• Minimal RTO allowed; all requests must be submitted prior to assignment confirmation
• COVID and flu vaccination may be required
• Scrub color or dress code not specified
• Completion of required onboarding and compliance modules prior to start
