Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN for an evening shift assignment in Washington, DC, requiring a DC RN license and a minimum of 2 years of recent OR experience.

Details

• Position is in the hospital Operating Room department
• Handles a caseload including general OR, bariatrics, ENT, neurology, orthopedics, and urology cases
• Special procedures performed include total joints, spine, craniotomy, free flaps, cyto reduction, bariatric, and ENT/OMF surgeries
• Required to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity
• Evening shift with 3x12 hour shifts weekly from 11:00 to 23:30
• On-call required: 6 calls per 6-week schedule
• Weekend requirement: 1 weekend shift per 6-week schedule

Requirements

• Active DC RN license required; proof of pending status accepted at time of consideration but license must be in hand before start
• Minimum of 2 years’ recent Operating Room RN experience required
• Certification required: Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
• Experience in general OR, bariatrics, ENT, neurology, orthopedics, and urology lines needed
