American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a 13-week Emergency Department position requiring trauma certifications and the ability to float as needed.

Details

• Position is in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting
• Day shift, 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00 to 19:00
• Must be willing to float to other campuses if census drops
• Every other weekend (EOW) scheduled work is required
• Nurse-to-patient ratios range from 1:1 to 1:2 or higher depending on acuity
• No blocked scheduling allowed
• On-call assignments may require returning to the facility within 1 hour

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NRP, PALS, TNCC
• Experience with airway management, ventilated patients, arterial lines, dysrhythmia management, central lines, IV drips, and isolation precautions
• Triage skills for ER/ER Holding required
• Electronic charting experience required

Additional Information

• Must arrange coverage if RTO (requested time off) falls on a scheduled weekend shift
• Missed shifts must be made up according to facility policy
• Former permanent employees must have a 6-month waiting period before reapplying
• Returning travelers must meet re-employment eligibility criteria
