American Traveler is hiring an LPN for a medical surgical unit, requiring an IN or Compact license and at least 1 year of recent experience.

Details

• Work in a short-term acute care hospital on a brand new medical surgical unit
• Unit is staffed with RNs, LPNs, nurse aides, and a unit secretary, reporting to the ED management team
• Night shift position with 3x12 hour shifts (18:00–06:30 pm)
• All travelers may be required to float within the hospital or to an affiliate hospital
• Uses Cerner for charting; prior Cerner experience is required
• Scrub color is a red top with black pants

Requirements

• Active IN or Compact LPN license required at time of consideration (license required if applicable)
• Minimum of 1 year recent medical surgical experience required
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required and must be current
• Degree from an ACEN or CCNE-accredited nursing program
• Cerner EMR experience required
• Must work 2 of 3 major holidays
• Local candidates are not accepted

• First-time travelers are accepted for this position
• Returning staff must have been separated from permanent or PRN roles for at least 12 months to be eligible
• Up to 5 days of requested time off (RTO) may be auto-approved
