American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele Float Pool position requiring a MA RN license and strong telemetry and cardiac skills.

Details

• Work in a hospital-based float pool covering 5 different Med/Surg and Telemetry units
• Level 1 Trauma hospital environment
• Patient population includes Med/Surg and cardiac telemetry cases
• 12-hour night shifts with every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Use of Meditech for IVs and Epic for electronic charting
• Floating to various units as required

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum of 2 years recent acute care experience with cardiac and telemetry nursing
• Ability to independently read telemetry strips and pass an on-site exam (84% or better, up to 2 attempts) on Day 1
• Epic EMR experience required
• Level 1 Trauma hospital experience required
• Preferred 3-5 years of previous float experience
• Two professional references required, one must be managerial and include a performance evaluation

Additional Information

• Must be able to adapt quickly to different units and patient populations
• Relias Advanced Dysrhythmia Test A or B is required, with a maximum of two attempts
• Most Fridays will be required and specific schedule requests cannot be accommodated
• No extended time off will be approved during the contract
• Monthly parking fees may apply
• Professional references cannot be from another traveler
• Preferred reference from last travel assignment
