American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN in Iowa with strong orthopedic, neuro, and DaVinci robotics skills required.

Details

• Position is in a hospital operating room setting
• Covers a variety of surgical cases including orthopedics, neuro, general, GYN, urology, and podiatry
• Uses DaVinci robotic surgical systems for select cases
• 4x10 hour day shifts starting at 0800, 0900, or 1000 for a total of 40 hours per week
• On-call required: one shift per week plus call every 4th to 5th weekend
• Work schedule includes weekends as part of the call rotation
• Uses Epic EMR; prior experience preferred but training provided if needed

Requirements

• Current IA or compact RN license required and in hand at time of consideration
• Minimum of 24 months recent operating room RN experience in a hospital or medical center required
• Experience and proficiency with orthopedic, neuro, general, GYN, urology, and podiatry surgeries required
• Proficient with DaVinci robotics required
• American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS and ACLS certifications required and active at time of consideration
• Must have at least 3 months of recent travel nursing experience within the previous 18 months
• Driver’s license required
• Completion of a skills checklist specific to operating room nursing required

Additional Information

• Must provide direct patient care for a broad range of surgical specialties in the OR
• No first-time travelers will be considered for this role
• References from a charge nurse, supervisor, or manager within the past 24 months are preferred
• Scrub experience is preferred
• Orientation will be provided at the start of the assignment
