Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) position requiring strong scrub and circulate skills and 3-5 years of recent complex cardiac experience.

Details

• Work in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) of a hospital setting
• Primary role will involve both scrubbing and circulating with a focus on scrubbing
• Care for adult patients undergoing complex cardiac, thoracic, and vascular procedures, including CABG, aortic aneurysms, AVRs, MVRs, TAVR, ECMO, and VADs
• Schedule includes shifts starting at 6a-4:30p, 9a-7:30p, or 6a-7:30p (8-hour shifts)
• On-call is required, typically 1-2 weekdays per week and 1-2 weekends per 6-week schedule
• Holiday coverage required for both summer (Memorial Day, 4th of July, or Labor Day) and winter (Thanksgiving or Christmas) holidays

Requirements

• Active VA or compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification from AHA required
• CNOR certification preferred
• 3-5 years of recent RN experience scrubbing and circulating in complex cardiac, thoracic, and vascular cases required
• Strong ability to multitask and apply critical thinking skills
• Experience in adult cardiac cases required; pediatric experience is a plus
