Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Bone Marrow Transplant unit, requiring a CO or compact RN license and recent BMT or heme/onc acute care experience.

Details

• Work in a hospital-based Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) unit with 36 beds, expanding to 51 beds
• Care for patients with blood cancers receiving chemotherapy, biotherapies, and cellular therapies such as stem cell transplants and CAR-T
• Typical patient ratios are 3-4:1
• Uses Epic for charting and documentation
• Rotating shifts available: day (07:00-19:00) and night (19:00-07:00), with weekend coverage as needed
• Floating within scope to similar units may be required
• No on-call responsibilities

Requirements

• Active CO or compact RN license required
• AHA BLS certification required
• Oncology (ONC) certification required
• Minimum of 2 years recent BMT or heme/onc acute care experience required
• Experience with Epic EMR preferred

Additional Information

• Responsible for managing care of patients undergoing complex oncology and cellular therapies
• Navy scrubs are required for this assignment
• First-time travelers are accepted if all requirements are met
• A maximum of 10 requested days off is allowed, with no time off permitted during specific blackout periods
• Travelers may be scheduled as needed based on unit demand
