Description

American Traveler is hiring a Psychiatric RN for a new adolescent inpatient unit, requiring experience with pediatric or adolescent psych nursing and trauma experience.

Details

• Work in a 6-bed inpatient pediatric psychiatric unit for adolescents ages 12-17
• Patients have psychiatric primary diagnoses and may have moderate medical complexity
• Night shift position with 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend coverage is required
• Unit will open in April and serves short-stay adolescent psychiatric patients

Requirements

• Active NH or compact RN license required and must remain active during assignment
• Must have recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 Trauma experience within the last 2 years
• Certification in AVADE, MOAB, or CPI is required
• BLS certification is required
• Experience with adolescent or pediatric psychiatric nursing is required
• No local candidates; must live at least 75 miles from the facility

Additional Information

• Responsible for patient care and safety in a new pediatric/adolescent psychiatric setting
• Will work with a team in a collaborative inpatient environment
• First time travelers will be considered
