American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an ambulatory surgery clinic position requiring ND or compact licensure and strong patient assessment skills.

Details

• Work in an ambulatory (outpatient) surgery clinic within an acute care setting
• Day shifts, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Trauma Level 2 environment
• Must be willing to float to endocrinology, infectious disease, and wound care units
• Utilizes the Epic EMR system
• Provides rooming for patients and assists with procedures as needed
• Ambulatory team consists of 2.5 physicians and 2 nurse practitioners

Requirements

• Active ND or compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association required
• Minimum two years of RN experience
• Experience in patient assessment and clear communication required
• Must not have a permanent address within 80 miles of the facility

Additional Information

• Primary responsibilities include patient assessment, care coordination, triage, patient education, and administering medications including vaccinations
• Responds to patient messages and phone calls, completes prior authorizations, and refills medications
• Orientation provided alongside experienced clinic nurses
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Returning employees must have ended previous employment with Sanford Health at least six months before starting this assignment
