Description

American Traveler is seeking a Stepdown RN with at least one year of specialty experience and a KS or compact RN license for evening shifts.

Details

Work in the Medical Surgical Acute Stepdown unit of a hospital setting
Care for patients requiring intermediate monitoring between ICU and general med-surg care
Evening/night shift from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am, three days per week
One weekend shift per month is required

Requirements

Active KS or compact RN license
Minimum of one year recent stepdown or related specialty experience
Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross
Current ACLS certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
Workplace Violence Prevention certification (DCI/BVP) required; can be completed via approved resources

Additional Information

Provide direct patient care for stepdown acuity individuals under the supervision of medical and nursing leadership
May be required to complete drug screen, Relias testing, PPD, and current flu and COVID vaccinations
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members in care delivery
Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers
