Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a telemetry step-down position in MA requiring PCU and telemetry experience, MA RN license, and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Work in a 5-bed intermediate care step-down unit
• Primarily care for patients on drips including amiodarone, nitroglycerin, Cardizem, insulin, 3% NS, and dobutamine, as well as patients on Bipap and heated high flow
• Care for cardiac catheterization patients who require interventions
• 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
• Use Epic as the EMR system with required experience
• No locals accepted; candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required
• Minimum recent experience in progressive care (PCU) and telemetry settings
• Experience with cardiac drips and advanced respiratory support required
• Must be able to pass a pass/fail dysrhythmia (ECG/telemetry) and medication test prior to acceptance
• Epic EMR experience required
• COVID-19 vaccine with booster and annual flu vaccination required (medical exemptions considered)
• Must be separated from previous employment at the health system for at least 6 months to be eligible

Additional Information

• Tests are administered via Zoom prior to assignment; only one attempt allowed and 85% is the passing score
• Patients require advanced cardiac and respiratory monitoring and interventions
• First time travelers are accepted
• Scrub/dress code information will be provided upon assignment
• Prepare using the provided study guide prior to assessment testing
