Description

American Traveler is seeking a PCU/Telemetry RN with at least one year of tele experience and a current or pending NY RN license.

Details

• Work in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) as part of the float team
• Care for telemetry and post-cardiac cath patients, including insulin and cardiac drips
• Assignment includes starting IVs and managing various cardiac procedures
• Requires working a minimum of every other weekend and a flexible schedule from Monday to Sunday
• No block scheduling permitted
• Uses Epic EMR, and recent (within 2 years) Epic experience is required

Requirements

• Active NY RN license or proof of application with applied date
• AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS certifications, with NIHSS required prior to start
• At least one year of recent telemetry nursing experience
• Recent Epic EMR experience (within the past two years) is nonnegotiable
• Must have reliable transportation due to lack of public transit near the facility
• Personal vehicle equipped with all-season or snow tires is recommended during winter months

Additional Information

• Be prepared to float to different units as part of the float pool
• Bi-weekly orientation sessions are held on Mondays
• Candidates must provide complete employment history, including bed count, EMR, and facility type
• Holiday coverage may be required as part of scheduling needs
• Radius requirements may affect eligibility for travel pay rate
