Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN for night shifts at a critical access hospital, requiring an active MT or compact RN license and relevant certifications.

Details

• Work in the Emergency Department of a critical access hospital
• Provides emergency care to patients of all ages, including trauma and urgent conditions
• Full-time night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 13-week contract assignment
• May operate and assist with emergency equipment such as cardiac monitors, defibrillators, and ventilators

Requirements

• Active MT or compact RN license
• Minimum of 1 year relevant nursing experience required
• Current certifications in BLS and ACLS are required
• PALS and TNCC certifications are preferred or willingness to obtain
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
• Ability to stand, walk, lift, and move patients as needed
• Able to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Emergency, ICU, or acute care nursing experience preferred

Additional Information

• Provide triage, assessment, treatment, and stabilization for emergency patients across the lifespan
• Respond to trauma activations and medical emergencies
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and emergency interventions per protocol
• Collaborate with providers, EMS, and ancillary staff to coordinate care and transfers
• Accurately document all patient assessments and interventions in the electronic health record
• Support and educate patients and families regarding care and follow-up
• Work in a supportive, close-knit team in a rural healthcare environment
