American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med-Surg/Emergency Department Short Stay position with day shifts and a current NY RN license requirement.

Details

• Position is in the Emergency Department Short Stay Unit
• Works with both Med-Surg and ED patient populations
• Day shifts from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm
• 13-week contract assignment
• EPIC EMR experience is required

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Med-Surg or Emergency Department settings
• Current certifications from AHA or RQI are required
• Experience with EPIC EMR is mandatory
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number required for consideration—no Canadian SIN accepted

Additional Information

• Competency testing may be required, with up to two attempts allowed for passing
• Blocked scheduling is not allowed
• No local candidates accepted from specific counties within a 50-mile radius
• Medical exemptions to flu vaccination must be signed by a licensed professional; personal or religious exemptions are not accepted
• Request for time off (RTO) must be submitted with application
• More than three call outs within a 13-week period will lead to contract termination and missed shifts must be made up within six weeks
• Travel pairs are not allowed for this assignment
