Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Stepdown Unit night shift position requiring ACLS, BLS, and at least one year of experience.

Details

• Work in the Stepdown Unit of a short-term acute care hospital
• Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Patient ratios typically 1:4-5
• May float to sister Level 3 or 2 units as needed
• Level III Trauma hospital setting
• Uses Cerner EMR system
• No on-call responsibilities; extra shifts optional
• Every other weekend is required
• Required to work 1 holiday per 13-week assignment

Requirements

• Active IN or compact RN license, or eligibility with active license by start date
• Minimum 1 year of recent stepdown or telemetry nursing experience
• Current certifications in ACLS and BLS are required
• Experience with telemetry and IV starts required
• Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility

Additional Information

• Travelers may be called off up to two times per assignment
• Required to wear royal blue scrubs
• Parking is provided at no cost
• First-time travelers are accepted for this position
