Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN with a current IL license and at least 2 years of recent acute ED experience.

Details

• Work in the Emergency Room of a Level 1 Trauma Center
• Care for a diverse emergency and trauma patient population
• Evening shifts (3x12s), 3:00 PM to 3:30 AM, with every other weekend required
• Mandatory floating within and outside the facility according to clinical scope, with potential for float assignments up to 50 miles away
• Uses Cerner charting system

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required at time of application
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience in an Emergency Department setting
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS
• Must live within 75 miles of the facility for eligibility
• COVID vaccination required; booster not required

Additional Information

• Strict compliance with documentation and onboarding requirements, including completion of lab work within 72 hours of offer acceptance
• Scrub color is navy blue and not provided
• No block scheduling; special scheduling requests not allowed
• Requested time off limited to 5 days total, no more than 2 consecutive days, with no time off permitted on weekends, holidays, or the days before or after holidays
• If floated outside of primary competency, a team-based model will be utilized
