American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Radiology & Vascular Access role requiring recent trauma experience and strong IV skills.

Details

• Work within the Radiology Department covering multiple imaging modalities including Diagnostic Radiology, Fluoroscopy, CT, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, Mammography, and MRI
• Care for both inpatient and outpatient populations in a hospital environment
• Provide vascular access services for patients of all ages from newborns to the elderly
• Shift options include: Days, 8A-6:30P (Tuesday–Friday) or 7A-5:30P (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday)
• No local candidates permitted; candidates must live more than 75 miles from the facility

Requirements

• Active NH or compact RN license required and must remain valid throughout the assignment
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 trauma experience within the last two years required
• Radiology nursing and critical care experience preferred
• Must be skilled in IV insertion and ultrasound-guided vascular access

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care for patients undergoing radiologic procedures, including the administration of sedation and monitoring vital signs
• Respond quickly to emergencies such as contrast reactions and procedural complications
• Serve as a resource and expert for vascular access throughout the organization, including selection and placement of PIVs, midlines, and PICCs
• Collaborate closely with radiologists, technologists, and multidisciplinary teams
• Opportunities for advancement and specialized training in PICC and midline placements are available
