Description

American Traveler seeks an experienced PCU Float RN with a NH or compact RN license and strong stepdown experience for a day shift position.

Details

• Work within a progressive care unit (PCU) float pool in a hospital setting
• Floats to progressive care, stepdown, and medical-surgical units as needed
• Day shifts, 12 hours each, three shifts per week
• No on-call responsibilities
• May be asked to float to the Behavioral Health Annex with training provided
• Experience with Cerner EMR is preferred but not required

Requirements

• Active NH or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU/stepdown experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Must pass an Advanced Dysrhythmia exam through Relias
• Experience floating between units and to med-surg settings is necessary
• Three professional references required, including two from leadership

Additional Information

• Weekly orientation will be provided
• May float to different nearby hospital campuses as needed
• Perm staff must have a 12-month break in service before returning as a traveler
• Local candidates within a 50-mile radius are accepted at a local rate
• Requested time off must be included for job consideration
