American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg RN with renal experience for a day shift position requiring an active SC or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the Medical Surgical unit with a focus on renal patients
• Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Patient ratio is 1:6-7
• Requires working every other weekend and participation in holiday rotation
• No on-call responsibilities
• May be required to float to other med/surg units as needed
• Royal blue scrubs required
• Uses Epic EMR
• Free parking available on site

Requirements

• Active SC or compact RN license in hand prior to start
• Minimum of 1 year recent RN experience in a med/surg setting
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Experience with Epic EMR is preferred
• Must be able to provide a valid driver's license and Social Security Number for consideration
• Candidates must not reside within 60 miles of the facility
• Former permanent staff (including PRN) must be separated from the health system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler

Additional Information

• Primary responsibilities include caring for med/surg and renal patients and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams
• Pre-employment modules must be completed prior to start, averaging 4 hours
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• All approved requested time off (RTO) must be declared prior to offer; RTO exceeding 7 days or including holidays may delay offer approval
• May be assigned emergency response duties during hurricane season (June–November)
• Only one unit or campus assignment with this health system at a time is permitted
