Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with at least two years of acute care OR experience and active FL or compact RN license.

Details

• Position is in a hospital operating room setting
• Full-time, 12-hour shifts from 6:30am to 7:00pm
• Includes variable on-call requirements with a 30-minute response time
• Assignment length is 13 weeks

Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license with no pending status
• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program
• Minimum of two years' acute care operating room experience in a US hospital required
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA only) required
• BSN highly desired
• Must provide two managerial or supervisory references, with at least one from the most recent employer
• Must have a valid Social Security Number, driver's license, and be able to provide proof of COVID and flu vaccination if required
• CPI certification mandated by position
• Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility; no local candidates permitted

Additional Information

• Duties include scrubbing and circulating for operative procedures and preparing the operating room for surgeries
• Responsible for assembling equipment and ensuring necessary supplies and implants are available
• Must adhere to aseptic techniques and consult with team members to assess and deliver intraoperative patient care
• Serves as a communication liaison to patients, families, and the surgical team
• Holiday coverage may be required per department needs
