American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN with a BSN for a Director of Nursing/Supervisor role in a skilled nursing and long-term care setting, requiring a WI or compact RN license.

• Position is in a skilled nursing and long-term care facility within a hospital environment
• Work schedule is Monday to Friday day shift with 24/7 accountability
• Responsible for overseeing care in both skilled nursing and long-term care units
• Leadership role includes supervision of nursing staff and coordination of interdisciplinary resident care programs

Requirements

• Active WI or compact RN license required
• BSN required upon hire
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Minimum of 2-4 years’ supervisory experience in long-term care nursing or demonstrated leadership in a long-term care facility
• Required certifications: BLS/CPR (approved certification required within 90 days)
• Working knowledge of reimbursement systems and State and Federal regulations within long-term care and The Joint Commission (TJC)

Additional Information

• Lead, supervise, hire, train, and evaluate nursing staff to ensure quality care and compliance with regulations
• Plan, coordinate, and implement departmental objectives, nursing standards, and updated policies and procedures
• Oversee and assist in assessment, case management, resident care planning, and ensure optimal care with interdisciplinary teams
• Monitor and report monthly quality data, including falls, skin, medication management, and chart compliance
• Foster a supportive and respectful environment for residents, respecting residents’ rights and choices
• Provide direct resident care and handle coordination of nursing services with other departments
• Guide and enforce infection control practices and participate in departmental budgeting and expense monitoring
