Description

American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg RN with Epic experience and a current SC or compact RN license for night shifts with weekend requirements.

Details

• Work in a Medical Surgical unit within a hospital
• Shift schedule consists of four 12-hour night shifts from 7:00pm to 7:30am
• Patient ratios are generally 1:6, flexing to 1:7 if necessary
• Regular requirement to work every other weekend
• On-call required on a PRN basis for low census situations
• Floating within scope and to like units and sister facilities is required
• Epic is used for charting and EMR

Requirements

• Active SC or compact RN license must be in hand prior to start
• AHA BLS certification required
• ACLS and NIHSS certifications preferred
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience preferred
• Experience with telemetry, MS/Tele, insulin administration, and rapid response required
• Epic experience required
• Must live more than 60 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted

Additional Information

• First-time travelers will be considered for this position
• Royal blue scrubs are required
• Free parking is available on site
• Returning staff must have been separated from the health system for at least 1 year
• All required training modules must be completed prior to start
• All time off (RTO) must be requested up front and is subject to approval based on facility needs
• During hurricane season (June-November), nurses may be assigned to emergency response teams
• Candidates may only be considered for one facility/unit at a time
