American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) position with required circulating and scrub skills.

Details

• Position is in the CVOR unit of a hospital setting
• Day shift, 4x10 hour shifts from 6:45 am to 5:15 pm
• Weekend shifts are required and scheduled on-call coverage is expected
• On-call shifts range from weekday evenings to 24-hour weekend coverage and are shared equally with all CVOR staff
• Floating may be required within the specialty, including duties in the general OR as needed
• Surgical/sterile scrubs are provided and must be donned and doffed onsite

Requirements

• Active RN license for MD or a Compact RN license
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• At least 5 years of operating room nursing experience required
• Circulating and scrub experience in the OR is required
• Experience in general OR across multiple service lines such as Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, and General Surgery is valued
• First-time travelers with strong general OR background will be considered

Additional Information

• Position involves both circulating and scrub responsibilities for cardiovascular surgical cases
• May be required to come in earlier to support multiple heart cases
• Holiday coverage is required as scheduled
• Role may involve supporting general OR cases if CVOR case volume requires
