American Traveler is seeking a skilled RN for an Emergency Department position requiring at least 2 years of experience and the ability to work rotating evening and night shifts.

Details

• Work in a fast-paced Emergency Department setting
• Care for a patient population ranging from infants to geriatrics with diverse and complex diagnoses
• Typical patient ratio is 1:4, with a maximum of 1:5 for lower acuity cases
• Rotating evening (15:00-03:30) and night (19:00-07:30) shifts, depending on departmental needs
• Required to work every other weekend
• Holiday shifts assigned as they fall and as scheduled
• Floating required within the specialty and to sister Emergency Departments as needed
• No pre-scheduled on-call shifts required

Requirements

• Active RN license in Maryland or a Compact RN license
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications required
• CPI certification completed during onboarding
• NRP and TNCC certifications preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Emergency Department RN experience required
• Open to first-time travelers

• Must be able to adapt to a very fast-paced environment
• Holiday coverage is required as scheduled
• Floating may include shifts at nearby Emergency Department locations
