American Traveler is seeking an experienced Electrophysiology RN for an outpatient cardiology clinic role, requiring 2 years of recent EP Lab or outpatient clinic experience and strong cardiology skills.

Details

• Work in an outpatient cardiology clinic
• Monday to Friday schedule, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm (5x8 hour shifts)
• Care for adult patients with cardiac arrhythmias and device management needs
• Procedures include pacemaker/defibrillator lead extraction, cardiac ablation, arrhythmia induction, cardiac mapping, and cardioversion
• Epic charting system is used and Epic experience is required
• Floating to like units within skillset may be required
• No weekends or on-call responsibilities

Requirements

• Active WA or Compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in an EP Lab or outpatient clinic
• Background in cardiology nursing required
• Proficiency in pacemaker/defibrillator procedures, cardiac mapping, EKG acquisition, and management of antiarrhythmics
• Epic EMR experience required
• Current certifications required: BLS and any others outlined by the employer
• Must provide two supervisory references from the last three years, covering relevant specialty
• SSN and date of birth are required for consideration

• Main responsibilities include device management, assisting with electrophysiology procedures, and patient education regarding cardiac arrhythmias and therapies
• Patient education skills in lifestyle and medication adherence for cardiac care are valued
• Strong team collaboration and involvement in quality improvement initiatives are preferred
• Scrub attire is business casual or any color scrubs per department guidelines
• Travelers are expected to float as needed within the state
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Minimal or no pre-approved time off is preferred, and all time off requests must be made before assignment confirmation
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and may not be within a 50-mile radius of the facility
