Description

American Traveler is seeking a Telemetry RN with at least 1 year of recent Tele experience, valid PA or compact license, and BLS/ACLS/NIHSS certifications for a night shift contract.

Details

• Position is based in a 30-bed Med/Surg/Telemetry unit within a hospital
• Telemetry and cardiac patient care with a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Night shift 7:00 pm to 7:30 am with every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Floating may be required according to facility needs
• EMR used is Cerner; prior experience preferred
• Navy blue scrubs required

Requirements

• Active PA or Compact RN license (pending licenses only acceptable if specified)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Telemetry RN experience required
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, with none expiring within first 30 days
• No work history gaps of 90 days or more in the last 12 months
• No prior permanent employment at this health system within the previous 2 years
• Local candidates within a 50-mile radius are not eligible

Additional Information

• Duties include cardiac monitoring, IV and foley insertion, lab draws, blood glucose testing, medication administration, and documentation
• Leadership and critical thinking skills required for delegating and supervising care staff
