Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Emergency Department position in Kentucky, requiring a compact RN license, advanced certifications, and the ability to pass a dysrhythmia test.

Details

• Position is in an Emergency Department (ED) setting
• Typical nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:4
• Night shifts: three 12-hour shifts per week (19:00–7:00)
• Travelers may be required to float to different units
• Uses Epic EMR system; prior Epic experience required

Requirements

• Active KY or compact RN license in hand
• Minimum of 2 years Emergency Department experience required
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS
• TNCC certification is preferred
• Must successfully pass an advanced dysrhythmia (EKG) competency exam
• Must submit two references for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidates are required to work during spring break, Easter, and Derby
• First-time travelers are accepted for this position
• Travelers must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates
• Candidates must schedule and complete required labs within specified timelines after signing
• Annual and initial education modules are required as part of orientation and continuing competency
• Must wait 2 years after prior employment before being eligible to return as a traveler
