American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a GI/Endoscopy position requiring at least two years of endoscopy nursing experience and an active WA or compact RN license.

Details

• Position is in a hospital-based Endoscopy unit at a Level II Trauma Center
• Patient ratio is typically 1:3
• Handles both general GI and interventional GI procedures
• Pre- and post-procedure care experience is preferred
• Day shift scheduled as four 10-hour shifts from 7:00 to 17:00
• Weekend shifts may be required as needed
• On-call coverage required based on vacancies
• Uses the Epic EMR system; Epic experience is required
• No floating between units is expected for this assignment

Requirements

• Active WA or compact state RN license required
• Minimum of two years of endoscopy nursing experience required
• General GI and interventional GI experience required
• Pre- and post-procedure care experience preferred
• Endoscopy technician experience preferred
• Current BLS certification required
• Two supervisory references covering at least one year within the past three years in a comparable setting required
• Social Security card and driver's license are required for consideration

Additional Information

• Must provide nursing care for GI and endoscopic procedures, including intra- and post-procedure patient management
• Expected to function independently and collaborate with physicians and endoscopy team
• A teaching hospital environment with a collaborative team structure
• Scrub color for RNs is any color as per facility guidelines
• All travelers may be asked to float between facilities within the state if needed
• Minimal time off (RTO) is permitted and must be requested at the time of submission
• Returning permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before applying as a traveler, and cannot live within 50 miles of the facility
