American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cath Lab/PTCA Recovery position in Florida, requiring a compact RN license and at least one year of cath lab experience.

Details

• Position is in a hospital-based cath lab and PTCA recovery unit
• 10-hour day shifts with variable days, usually starting at 6:30am
• Requires approximately 8-10 days of on-call per month, including at least one weekend call per month
• No floating required; willingness to float to Lake Wales is a plus
• Navy blue scrubs required

Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license
• Minimum 1 year of cath lab RN experience
• Current NIH Stroke Scale certification
• Experience with IV insertion, circulating cases, VADs, dialysis, arterial lines (A-lines), intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABPs), procedural sedation, and LVADs
• Able to arrive onsite within 30 minutes during call hours
• No work history gap greater than 90 days

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include patient care before, during, and after cath lab procedures
• Must provide call coverage as scheduled, including weekends
• Returning employees must have been gone for at least one year before consideration
• Candidates must have a permanent address at least 75 miles from the facility to be considered a traveler
