Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery travel position in Florida requiring FL or compact RN license and 1.5+ years recent L&D experience.

Details

• Position located in a hospital Labor & Delivery unit
• Three 12-hour night shifts per week (7p-7a)
• 13-week travel contract
• Required to float first to the women's unit, then as needed to the house as a sitter or task nurse
• No on-call requirements
• Required to work six weekend shifts per six-week schedule

Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license
• Minimum 1.5 years recent Labor & Delivery RN experience
• Current BLS certification (AHA)
• ANCC EFM certification or successful completion of prestart GNOSIS Exam required
• At least one reference from entire work history needed for consideration
• Permanent address must be at least 75 miles from the facility to qualify as a traveler
• Former employees must have not worked at the facility in the previous 12 months

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive care to laboring and postpartum patients
• May be assigned as sitter or task nurse when floating outside L&D
• Orientation provided for unit procedures and facility protocols
• Teamwork with other nurses and interdisciplinary staff is expected
• Holiday and night shift coverage required per unit needs
