Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced CICU RN for a day shift ICU position requiring ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications and a SC or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) at an acute care hospital
• Shift schedule consists of 3x12 hour day shifts, 7:00 am to 7:30 pm
• Patient ratios are typically 1:1 or 1:2
• Weekend shifts required every other weekend
• Floating to similar units may be required to meet facility needs
• Epic is the charting system used; prior experience is preferred
• Equipment experience with CRRT (Prismax) is preferred

Requirements

• Active SC or compact multi-state RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (AHA only)
• Current SSN and Driver's License must be provided for consideration
• First-time travelers are accepted
• Locals considered if residing within a 60-mile radius, subject to approval

Additional Information

• Duties include providing critical care to cardiac ICU patients and utilizing advanced monitoring and life-support equipment
• Royal blue scrubs are required for this assignment
• All time off requests must be submitted up front; approval is based on facility needs
• Previous permanent MUSC staff (including PRN) must be separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Non-billable modules must be completed pre-start and average 4 hours
• Parking is provided at no cost with distributed parking passes
• Employees may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June to November)
• Block scheduling requests require managerial approval and are not guaranteed
