American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Emergency Department position with Level I Trauma experience and an active IL RN license.

Details

• Position based in a hospital Emergency Department with a Level I Trauma designation
• Patient ratio is 1:4 in the ED
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (19:00 - 7:30)
• Must work every other weekend
• Floating to other units is required
• Epic is the charting system used and experience is required

Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license required at the time of application
• Minimum 1 year of prior experience in an urban Level I Trauma Emergency Department
• Preferred experience in a teaching hospital setting
• Current BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications required
• TNCC and CPI certifications preferred
• Not open to candidates living within 75 miles of the facility
• License must be clear with no hits

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are accepted for this position
• RTO (time off) is restricted to a maximum of 7 days and no time off is allowed during the first or last week of the contract
• Previous permanent staff at any University of Chicago location must wait 7 months before returning as a traveler
