American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med Specialty Step Down position with a focus on MS/SD experience and a 50-mile radius requirement.

Details

• Work in a hospital Med Specialty Step Down unit
• Day shift, 12-hour shifts, three days per week
• Care for patients with conditions ranging from simple to complex
• Requires previous Med/Surg Step Down experience
• ICU experience is preferred

Requirements

• Active OK RN license or compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
• Minimum of 1 year of Med/Surg Step Down RN experience required
• Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required
• Strong knowledge of nursing theory, practices, and techniques
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Computer skills required

Additional Information

• Responsible for an assigned group of patients and documentation of care
• Assists physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
• Manages intravenous infusions and blood product administration
• Engages patients and families in care planning and provides discharge education
• Delegates appropriate tasks to support staff
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
