Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PACU position caring for pre- and post-cardiac procedure patients, requiring a LA or compact RN license and at least 2 years of relevant experience.

Details

• Work in the PACU of a hospital setting
• Care for cardiology patients before and after cardiac procedures
• Patient cases include LHC, RHC, TAVR, ablations, TEE, cardioversion, loop recorders, pacemakers, and vascular procedures
• Use of vein finder and bladder scanner is required
• 10-hour day shifts are available, either 5:00–15:30 or 9:00–19:30, with schedule discussed during interview

Requirements

• Active RN license in Louisiana or compact state is required
• Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS (AHA only)
• Minimum 2 years of PACU or pre-/post-op experience required
• Experience with cardiac procedures and specialized equipment preferred
• Not accepting first-time travelers
• Candidates must live at least 65 miles from the facility

Additional Information

• May be assigned to an Emergency Team with expectations to stay on-site or part of a relief team during facility emergencies
• Team provides care for post-cardiac procedure patients with support from advanced equipment
• Royal blue or white scrubs are required
