Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced PACU RN with Epic experience, pediatric skills, and a current LA or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the PACU of a hospital environment covering pre-op, Phase I, and Phase II recovery
• Provide care for pediatric and adult surgical patients across 34 operating rooms on two floors
• Care for patients from multiple surgical services, including Endoscopy, Interventional Radiology, and pulmonary procedures
• Patient ratio is typically 1:2
• Day shifts (3x12 hours) from 8:00 to 20:30
• Scheduled to work 2-3 weekends per contract
• Epic EMR experience required
• Unit equipped with Hoyer lift, bladder scanner, and Accuvein
• Experience with regional anesthesia and ECT preferred
• Must be willing to care for both pediatric and adult patients in all recovery phases

Requirements

• Active LA or compact RN license in hand
• American Heart Association certifications in ACLS, BLS, and PALS required
• Minimum requirement: previous PACU or pre/post-op experience preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must be comfortable caring for pediatric patients
• Must reside at least 65 miles away from the facility (no local candidates accepted)

Additional Information

• May be assigned to an emergency team with mandatory facility presence during events
• Responsibilities include pre-op and post-op care for both children and adults across a high-volume surgical department
• Must be prepared to work in a fast-paced setting with high pediatric patient volume on the first floor
• Team supports a wide range of surgical and procedural patient needs, excluding critical care cases
• First-time travelers will be considered
• Scrub or dress code details provided during onboarding
• All time off (RTO) must be discussed during the interview
