American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) unit position requiring 2 years of experience and Louisiana or compact licensure.

Details

• Work in the BMT unit within a hospital setting
• Night shifts, 3x12 hours, 19:00–07:30
• Patient ratio is 1:5 to 1:6
• Patient population includes oncology and bone marrow transplant cases
• Procedures include bone marrow biopsy, central line management, and blood/bone marrow transplants
• Use of Epic EMR is required
• Floating required within MS Oncology and other MS units
• Every other weekend and holiday coverage required

Requirements

• Active LA or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of relevant nursing experience
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale, and ONS chemotherapy/immunotherapy course
• Epic EMR experience required
• Oncology or BMT experience accepted
• Preferred certification: CPI
• Returning permanent employees must have a 1-year gap from any LCMC facility
• Candidates must reside outside a 75-mile radius

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include management of oncology/BMT patients and performing specialized procedures
• Strict time-off policies during Mardi Gras with minimal RTO between 2/13 and 2/22
• Five days or less of RTO will be considered
• Scrubs are required per hospital guidelines
