American Traveler is seeking a skilled RN First Assist for the Operating Room with required DaVinci Robot experience and a flexible schedule.

Details

• Work in a hospital-based operating room with 11 suites
• Caseload includes robotics, spine, ortho, laparoscopic, general, GYN, urology, and vascular surgeries
• Strong competency required in most surgical specialties
• No transplant cases
• 10-hour shifts from 6:45am to 5:15pm
• 6 to 8 on-call shifts in a 6-week period, including overnights, holidays, and weekends

Requirements

• Active RN license for VA or compact state
• Current BLS certification required
• RNFA credential plus CSA or CFA required
• DaVinci Robot experience required
• At least 2 years of experience as a Surgical Assistant
• Successful completion of pass/fail EKG testing on first day (study guides provided)
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility

Additional Information

• Duties include supporting care throughout pre-op, intra-op, and post-op phases, and assisting the surgical team with equipment and sterile techniques
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate and provide patient care in the OR
• Will assist across diverse surgical specialties and provide patient assessment before, during, and after procedures
• Additional credentialing through BSMH required per state regulations
• Call responsibilities may include overnight, weekend, and holiday coverage
• Manager conducts a second interview as part of the hiring process
• No previous travel experience is necessary for consideration
• Scrub attire required per OR standards
