American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN Case Manager with pediatric neuro oncology and chemotherapy knowledge for a day shift position in California.

Details

• Hospital setting in a pediatric neuro oncology unit
• Care manager role supporting neonates, infants, pediatric, and adolescent patients
• Average daily census is 20 to 22 patients
• Day shift position with hours from 8:00 to 16:30, working five 8-hour shifts per week
• No call requirements
• Floating required to cover for colleagues as needed

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of case management experience
• Experience with oncology and pediatric patients required
• PALS or PEARS certification required
• Knowledge of chemotherapy interactions and experience with treatment roadmaps required
• CPHON certification preferred
• Previous experience with neuro oncology patients required
• First-time travelers will not be considered

Additional Information

• Responsible for coordinating care, follow-up appointments, lab orders, referrals, authorizations, and DME coordination
• Serve as a liaison within a multidisciplinary team, developing personalized care roadmaps for neuro oncology patients
• Accountable for patient assessments, implementation of physician orders, treatment plans, medical procedures, and care coordination
• Oversee transition planning and needs assessment for complex cases
